How Atlas may use AI-assisted editorial tools while preserving human responsibility for published medical information.
AI can assist; editors remain responsible
Atlas may use AI-assisted or rules-based tools for tasks such as content structure review, summary candidates, search metadata, freshness cues, internal-link suggestions and workflow support. These tools are aids to editorial work, not autonomous publishers.
No automatic medical authority
An AI-generated suggestion is not evidence, a diagnosis, a clinical recommendation or proof that a claim is correct. Medical and biomedical statements must be checked against appropriate sources and editorial standards.
Human review
Editors remain responsible for what is published. Suggested text should be checked for factual accuracy, unsupported certainty, missing context, citation quality, terminology, potential harm and whether it reflects the intended audience.
Search integrity
Automation should not be used primarily to manufacture large volumes of low-value pages for search traffic. Atlas content should be created to answer real reader questions and provide useful, structured health information.
